SPACE 101.1 T-shirt Giveaway Contest Rules Summer 2020

  1. This SPACE 101.1 T-shirt giveaway contest is sponsored by Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange (SPACE).

    1. By participating in and entering this SPACE run contest, you agree to these rules, and you agree that you meet the eligibility requirements as detailed below. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of the SPACE Board as final and binding as it relates to this contest.

    2. The prize in this contest is one (1) SPACE 101.1 FM light blue T-shirt, with the SPACE rocket logo, in size Large.  Alternate sizes may be available, some are limited.  Shirts tend to run a little small. 
       

  2. This contest will run August 3 - 9, 2020, with the possibility of another week of contest in August 2020.
     

  3. How to enter:

    1. Listen to SPACE 101.1 FM on the radio or online during the week of August 3 - 9, 2020.  Listen for the SPACE “Word of the Day” which will be broadcast several times each day.  You can listen on SPACE 101.1 FM in NE Seattle and streaming online at https://www.space101fm.org/

    2. You must send an email to contest@space101fm.org by 11:59 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time with the SPACE “Word of the Day” for that day in the email subject line.  For example if the “Word of the Day” was TREE you would put the word TREE in the subject line of your email.

    3. To be considered correct, the entry must clearly list the SPACE “Word of the Day” in the email subject line. Small variations in spelling permitted.
       

  4. How winners will be chosen:

    1. Each day, on the day after entries are submitted, all correct entries for the prior day will be numbered. Then a random number generator will be used to select three winners for each day, based on the number of correct entries. A SPACE volunteer or Board member not closely affiliated with the contest will be asked to select the winners as detailed above.

    2. Winners will then be notified by SPACE with a return email, and asked for their mailing address, so that SPACE can mail a T-shirt to them. They are asked to please reply back by August 20, 2020, to claim their T-shirt.

    3. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received each day. SPACE estimates 21 T-shirts will be awarded.
       

  5. Participation restrictions:

    1. No purchase necessary. 

    2. Must be 18 years or older to enter. 

    3. Must not be currently affiliated with SPACE as volunteer or DJ or Board member, or be an immediate family member of a SPACE Board member.

    4. Each individual can enter once each day, for each day of the contest. A day begins at 12:00 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time and ends at 11:59 P.M.

    5. You can only win once in the week of August 3 - 9, 2020.
       

  6. We may use your first name and general neighborhood on our social media and perhaps on the radio programming.  For example an announcement may say “Joe from Ravenna won a shirt this week.” You may choose to OPT OUT of this via email, when you email us your mailing address to mail the T-shirt.

    1. If you follow us on social media, please share that you won a shirt, or post a picture of yourself wearing your new shirt, we would love that!  
       

  7. All entrants will have their email address added to our mailing list. SPACE sends a limited number of emails and you can remove yourself from our mailing list at any time. SPACE does not share emails with other organizations.
     

  8. Mailing information:

    1. One (1) size Large SPACE T-shirt will be mailed to each selected winner with a US mailing address.  SPACE will pay for the postage.

    2. Any winner with a non-US mailing address will be mailed one (1) size Large SPACE T-shirt via USPS, but only as current USPS international mailing regulations permit. SPACE will follow the USPS website and our local post office’s package acceptance rules for all mailings. SPACE will pay for the postage. Any international mailings that cannot be sent by September 30, 2020, due to limited international mailing regulations, will not be sent out at all. Apologies in advance if you are affected by these mail limitations and you do not get a T-shirt.
