Park Life

About this program

PARK LIFE is the show where you’ll discover the deeper cuts from the local and international artists you already love — and maybe a few new favourites, too. Your host, Simon, is all about diving into the rich sounds of Indie, Rock, Pop, Post-Punk, Alternative, New Wave, Funk, Disco, and Dance. After spending seven years in Luxembourg before landing in Seattle, Simon means to deliver some standout European acts you might not hear anywhere else. Tune in and explore the music just beneath the surface.

About the DJ

Hi there! I’ve been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember—and yes, I’m one of those lifelong vinyl collectors too. My love for radio kicked off back in 1980s Britain, thanks to the legendary John Peel (who else?). Fast-forward a few decades, and I finally got behind the mic in 2021, reading the news on the Breakfast Show for an English-speaking community station in Luxembourg. That turned into hosting the show myself before I made the leap to Seattle. These days, I host Eclectica, a radio show all about electronic music in its many forms—which is now in its fifth year. On the side, I write about upcoming concerts for a music mag, dabble in making strange sounds (calling it “music” might be pushing it), and seriously geek out over films. Oh, and I’ve been a devoted (classic) Doctor Who fan since my very first episode way back in 1975.
