About this program

The Golden Record is a one-hour sonic journey that weaves together genres like World, Electronic, Disco, Soul, Balearic, and beyond—curated to feel cohesive, expansive, and exploratory. Inspired by NASA’s 1977 Golden Record, which was launched aboard the Voyager spacecrafts as a message to the cosmos, this show is a musical time capsule: a deeply human attempt to connect through sound.

Much like the original Golden Record—which contains greetings in 55 languages, the sounds of nature, and music from Bach to Chuck Berry—this program reaches across styles, eras, and continents to create a playlist that could be sent into deep space. It’s a show for curious minds and open ears, designed to evoke wonder, connection, and the universal language of music.
