Looking for something to do this weekend? Friends of Magnuson Park is hosting an event to mark the beginning of the First World Flight Centennial. Come to Magnuson Cafe & Brewery on Saturday April 6 from 2-4 PM to enjoy some historical banter and learn about the first round-the-world flight which took place between April 6 and September 28, 1924, which started and ended at Sand Point.
SPACE 101.1 FM will be broadcasting live from the event with our local history enthusiast Feliks Banel on the scene. You can also hear Felik on his weekly program Cascade of History (Sundays at 8 pm).
