About this program

Story Untold is a nationally syndicated radio show featuring Doo Wop and early Rock and Roll on many FM and AM stations across the US and Canada. Story Untold goes well beyond the hits and plays B-sides, LP only cuts and exclusive, unreleased material from the record collection of the show’s host, P.J. Noce.

Story Untold plays predominantly original vinyl, and has been greatly enhanced by the kindness of collectors such as Cris Vangel, Charles Kasper, Paul Gruber, Isaiah Estrada, Josue Perez, Gerald Mendez, Nelson Gomez, Joe Worth, Mark Goldfarb, Ricky Arias, Phil Gutkowski, Paul Michel, Breaden McCollow, and Toot (hey, he’s a sax man). Between P.J. Noce’s collection and the music that these collectors have shared, we have amassed a high quality, exclusive collection of original vinyl and shellac for the world to enjoy on Story Untold.

Story Untold has quickly grown since its inception in January of 2015. It has gained a large, loyal following and can be heard on more than 32 affiliate radio stations.

About the DJ

Since he was young boy, PJ’s mission has been to discover the best doo wop recordings he could find and deliver them to the world. This is about passion. This show is a mission for PJ. Since he was 7 years old, PJ has been fascinated by 50’s Doo Wop Music. His fascination soon turned into passion and a burning desire to preserve and present Doo Wop Music for the masses, for the ages. That passion turned into a record collection, work as a Doo Wop historian, lasting friendships with many performers of the era, a career in radio and a dream fulfilled.

What’s most important is the music. PJ is ok with that, so he does his best to bring you the hits you love, b-sides, rare tunes and awesome unreleased songs while maintaining a low key, informative presence while keeping chit-chat to a minimum.

PJ spins what he listens to. He often jokes and calls his shows the “payola-free zone.” If a song is good to his hears he will play it, regardless if it sold millions of copies or none.

Aside from the radio show, PJ hosts a very popular Youtube site called “PJDooWop.” Feel free to visit the page and enjoy the music from his record collection. It really makes him happy to know that this music and these songs are being discovered and preserved.
