SPACE is excited to add a new program to our Friday night lineup – SYNTHPOP NONSTOP. Synthpop Nonstop is a weekly music show that features a diverse selection of classic and contemporary electronic popular music.
In the late ’70s, a new music subgenre, synth-pop, arose and launched the MTV era. As synthesizers became mainstream, synth-pop took up residence in nightclubs worldwide, eventually giving way to the rave scene, before coming back full force in a new century. Today, artists from the dawn of synth-pop like Depeche Mode and New Order fill arenas, supported by a new generation of artists they inspired.
Tune in Fridays 10 to 11 pm, starting September 13.
