Long Story Short is a weekly radio program that finds new and interesting connections to the world around us through the miracle of music. Each week we pick a theme to base our playlist around, and we’ll explore the fascinating and often untold stories behind the music. From people to birds, planets, season, countries, colors, movies, arts, genres, cars, holidays, sports, instruments, foods, you name it. We find the music and tell the stories.
Being a DJ on the radio is something that I’ve always wanted to do, having a space where I can share the power of music with an audience is really amazing! I grew up in a large musical family, with four generations of performing guitarists and bass players. One of whom was my great grandfather Paul Tutmarc, who is credited as the inventor the first electric bass guitar in 1932, right here in Seattle WA! I feel blessed having been able to play and performing the guitar throughout the world, and having a place on the radio where I can share the music an tell the stories behind the artists is really exciting!
