About this program

Has there ever been a more neglected, under-appreciated, or hard-to-define genre than Power Pop? Touching everything from pop, rock, punk, indie, and garage, these are the songs that, in a blast of three-minute goodness, take you through the most human of heartbreaks while somehow leaving a smile on your face.

Spend the evening with me and the guitar pop gems you know by heart, the ones you may have missed, and the new ones you’re about to love. Tune in for Pop Rocks Radio Saturdays at 9 pm. Be good. Be weird.

About the DJ

Bijan, the host of Pop Rocks Radio, also goes by Bijan in real life. He’s always loved power pop but just didn’t know it. His mission is to break the news to everyone else that they do, too.

Music from the margins where it began. Not an expert, just a fan.
